Pre-Challenge
For my 30 day challenge, I decided to make a t-shirt quilt! This is something I've wanted to do for a really long time, and I thought that this would be a great way to encourage myself to work and finish the quilt within the 30 days, even if I only work on it for 30 minutes to an hour each day.
So my dad has these huge storage containers in our storage room that hold all of his old t-shirts from high school and when he played soccer. He obviously doesn't wear them anymore (hence they're in the basement) so I figured that using those old shirts would be a great option. We would take something that was basically sitting useless and collecting dust, and turn it into an everyday, useable item! Cool right?!
I'm really excited to start this project... I think I will obviously have some challenges since I don't sew everyday, but I've had enough practice that I think I'll be able to do it, and it helps that my grandmother is a home-ec teacher :)
Wish me luck!!
