Day 4
Today I started cutting out the designs of the shirts for each panel of my quilt!
This took a lot longer than I expected it to. I think this was because I was such a perfectionist and needed everything to be absolutely perfect. I worked on my challenge for about an hour today, but it seemed like I had been working for much longer.
Today I just had to rough cut the area of each t-shirt that I wanted to use. Tomorrow, the squares will be more precise, but I'm sure I'll talk more about that tomorrow.
I was scared each time I cut the shirts because I wanted the cuts to be large enough, and didn't want to mess up and ruin a shirt that my dad had cared enough about to keep all of this time. I'm a little stressed out because if it took my this long today just to roughly cut the shirts, I can't imagine how long it will take tomorrow for me to precisely cut each shirt.
Despite that, I enjoyed what I did today. It was sort of therapeutic to me and was a nice change of pace for me to get away for studying for a math test I have in two days.
I know that tomorrow I won't have as much time to work on the quilt as I did today because of my exam, but I'm hoping that all the work I did today will help me keep up to pace!
