Conclusion
After working on this quilt for seven days, I've already learned so much. When I first started, I kind of regretted my decision of choosing something so hard for my project, but after working on it, I'm so glad I took on this challenge.
I've been able to buy and use things that I never had before, and it introduced me to literally this whole other world that some people live in.
I've been able to walk down memory lane with my dad and see all of the cool things he was a part of. One of my favorite things about this project is how I'm taking something that really had no purpose, and was collecting dust in our basement, and turning it into something that we can use everyday and that will remind my family, and especially my dad, of all sorts of memories.
I've been able to appreciate how awesome it is to have a grandma that is used to teaching kids and answering all sorts of questions about this subject. She came in handy much more than I would like to admit and she really helped me understand what exactly my directions were saying.
I've also been able to understand why some people get so sucked into quilting or sewing or knitting. For me at least, I loved working with the t-shirts every day and seeing the steady progress I was making. It was so satisfying at the end of each day when I could sit down and physically see the difference in the shirts that I had made in just a few hours.
Because of these reasons, I'm really glad I chose this challenge and that it kickstarted me into doing something that I had been wanting to do for a really long time.
Thank you Mr. Harrison!!
